The system has implemented a new type of leave request — Carry-over Day. Employees can take a day off during a workday and make it up on a weekend. Once the transfer is approved, the workday becomes a day off for the employee, and the weekend day is designated as a workday.

To enable this function in the system, you need to follow these steps:

Step 1:
In the leave policy settings, enable the option to allow the transfer of workdays.

Step 2:
Configure the approval policy for transferring days.

Step 3:
Employees submit a request to transfer a day through the Request Leave option on the My Tracker page.

Leave Day — a working day that will become a day off.

Working Day — a day off that will become a working day.

Step 4:
After the request is approved, corresponding entries appear in the employee’s tracking. For example, October 25 becomes a day off, while October 26 will be a working day.

These transfers will also be indicated in the team calendar for general visibility.

Impact of Carry-over day:

Since a working day becomes a day off and vice versa during the transfer, these changes affect the employee’s calendar, the planned number of working hours in the month (if the transfer occurs between two months), time tracking reports, and salary calculations (if the transfer occurs between two months). The employee’s reports will include appropriate notations regarding the day transfer.

Question: Can a Carry-over be canceled if plans change?
Answer: Yes, canceling of Carry-over follows the same logic as canceling/deleting time off requests.

Question: Can I request to work next Tuesday during the current week?
Answer: Yes, you can transfer a working day that falls next week to a day off in the current week.

Question: Are there restrictions on the period within which days can be transferred?Answer: Yes, there must be no more than two months between the date from which the working day is transferred and the date to which the day off is transferred, to ensure accurate salary calculations for those periods.

Question: Can a carry-over balance be set for employees?
Answer: Currently, it is not possible to set a carry-over balance, but we plan to implement this feature in future updates.
