First, you need to fill the system with your data.

The key data to transfer includes:

• List of employees and their current compensation

• Clients and their billing information

• Projects

• Project agreements with clients

There are several options for data migration:

  • Manual Data Transfer: You can manually enter the data yourself, which is preferable if you know the data is unorganized and manual entry provides an extra level of control.
  • Using a Template: We provide a template that outlines the required information for importing data into the system.
  • Providing Your Own Files: If you already have your data in a ready-to-use format, you can provide your files, and we will convert them to the necessary format and import them.

ITFin can also be integrated with third-party services for tracking reporting and importing project tasks.

For more information, see the Integrations section.

We recommend using manual tracking in ITFin as it offers several advantages, including avoiding additional costs by systemically preventing tracking for periods that have already been invoiced to the client. This helps avoid situations where an employee reports hours for previous periods, which you would need to pay for, but these hours would no longer be included in the client’s invoice.
